Use These Affiliate Marketing Methods to Expand Your Business
If there's one thing everyone should know about affiliate marketing is that it's not nearly as hard as everyone makes it out to be. The techniques you're going to read about can really help you make it with affiliate marketing.

Successful affiliates should work towards experimenting with several different products, such as aiming at big ticket products that pay higher commission rates. When you're deciding which product to promote, choose a good product that also pays a good commission. This doesn't always mean looking for products with an average sale price, but a high commission percentage. There are plenty of products on the Clickbank marketplace you could choose from that pay you for every sale you refer. So if you found a product selling at $80 and paying 50% commission, you'll earn around $40 for each sale, minus a couple dollars in Clickbank fees. This can be nice for a little extra cash flow, but think about what your income would be like if you promoted products that cost $1000 and earn you $400 on each sale you make. Big ticket products like this is exactly what we're talking about. It's still fine to market affiliate products that pay smaller commissions, and there are plenty of Amazon.com affiliates that earn great incomes promoting smaller items. However, with smaller commissions you need to drive more sales to keep your income up, yet if you choose bigger commissions, you need less sales to make the same or higher profits. Of course it takes hard work to generate sales for bigger products, but you could earn as much from one sale as you could earn by trying to sell 10 or 20 Clickbank products. If you've done the math, you'll already know there's value to be had in promoting the big ticket affiliate products.

Don't think of yourself as a salesperson when you're an affiliate, but instead think of yourself as a pre-sales person. You need to concentrate on making your prospects feel good about dealing with you and you must make it very easy for them to buy from you. You won't be selling, and instead you'll be leaving the sales up to the affiliate product page. Not only that, but it's been proved that you will get more sales if you presell the prospect and make them comfortable about buying from you. There are many reasons why a person won't buy from you, but most likely it's because they're afraid of getting scammed, which does happen. When you pre-sell the product, on the other hand, you are putting the prospect in a state of mind that gets them ready to buy, and you are also telling them the honest truth about what they're about to buy. You are making them feel more comfortable before they even get to the page that tries to sell them and that means you have a better chance of converting most of them. This is the reason why you'll want to go into great detail about the product so that the prospects can make a firm decision about whether or not to buy.

You need to make sure you are recommending a product to your prospects instead of trying to pressure them into buying. While hard selling will turn people off, people appreciate friends recommending things to them. Just make sure you are easy about your promoting and never get too forceful. Your prospective customers will feel like they are being respected and they'll be more willing to spend their money on your products. Basically, affiliate marketing only requires knowing the proper steps to take, and then setting concrete goals, and you'll see success in no time.
